A public consultation is under way into the future shape of Wiltshire over the next 15 years. The Wiltshire Core Strategy Consultation Document sets out how Wiltshire will provide the new jobs required by our economy and the new homes for our growing and ageing population whilst protecting Wiltshire’s natural environment and strengthening our communities.

The document has been shaped by previous consultations, but this is the first time the draft strategy and policies that will manage how Wiltshire develops have been brought together for consideration and comment by the wider community. All comments received during this consultation will be used to develop the draft core strategy, which will be produced later this year and, subject to Council approval and a final stage of consultation, will be submitted to the Secretary of State for an ‘examination in public’ early next year.

People wishing to contribute can download and complete a consultation document via the Wiltshire Council website.
