At the centenary of the beginning of the First World War, Yatton Keynell Parish Council is aware that the village does not currently have a war memorial and is proposing that the various groups in the village work together to provide something fitting to be unveiled in November 2018, at the centenary of the end of the War.

We are in the process of ascertaining whether there are any grants available to help towards the cost, and we hope to have some fundraising as well. No decision has been made as towhere in the village a memorial could be sited or what its appearance would be and we invite as many individuals and groups within the village as wish to be involved to get in touch.

I can be contacted either by email at or for those who do not have access to the internet you can leave me a letter at the Post Office, by kind agreement of Mark Hayward
