MINUTES OF A FULL MEETING OF YATTON KEYNELL PARISH COUNCIL

Monday 7th March 2016

The Chairman announced that Cllr M Hayward had submitted his resignation from the Parish Council with immediate effect. The Chairman thanked Mark for his service. Clerk to advertise the casual vacancy.

1.PUBLIC GALLERY
Resident of Tiddleywink, enquired about the Vehicle Activated Sign project, Chairman confirmed that this would not be going ahead as such signs were not permitted by Wiltshire Council.

Footpath Surgery to Biddestone Lane tree felling now scheduled for early April

Speed Indicator Devices (SIDS), Chippenham Town Council have offered a service to operate the devices for £120 per visit (14 day period). It was unanimously agreed to arrange for 4 visits during the 2016/17 at a cost of £480 to be funded by the Community Benefit Fund. Clerk to contact Chippenham Town Council to make arrangements.

Clerk reported on two meetings he had attended, Castle Combe Circuit Parish Liaison meeting also attended by Castle Combe Parish Council. Date of next meeting 13th June and the Chippenham Community Area Parish Forum date of next meeting 4th May

8.VILLAGE MAINTENACE
Quotation form JC Bruce Scott for grass cutting & maintenance was accepted.

Clerk to write to Chippenham Without Parish Council to ask for a contribution towards maintenance of The Long Stone

Parish Involvement Meeting – Chippenham April 19th Clerk to attend to learn about the reintroduction of Parish Stewards

It was decided not to enter the Best Kept Village Competition this year

Clarks Leaze playground, methods of fund raising – Chairman to discuss with Chris Bennett of Acton Turville.

9.COUNCILLORS QUESTIONS AND ITEMS FOR FUTURE MEETINGS

Chairman proposed that the quotation from Complete Weed Control for two applications to be accepted.
Clerk to contact Wiltshire Highways to request that the 30 mph speed limit on Grittleton Road be moved north towards the village boundary.
