A public meeting will be held at the Bell Inn, on July 3rd, to allow any applicants to ask questions they may have about the application process. Leaflets will be distributed by the council to let every household in the village know about the community fund.

8. PLANNING

15/03429/FUL – Buried High Voltage Grid Connection Cable from Castle Combe Solar Farm to Chippenham Electricity Substation (Retrospective)

It was decided that due to the fact the cable had already been put down, and it was a retrospective application, that no comment was necessary.

15/04751/TCA – Coppice 1 Willow Tree – SN14 7BA

As the tree isn’t visible from the road, it was decided there would be no objection to the proposal.

9. COUNCILLORS QUESTIONS AND ITEMS FOR FUTURE MEETINGS

The gate in the burial ground was mentioned as it has a broken bottom hinge. Cllr. Plowman has been in touch with someone in order to have it fixed.

The Crown at Gudiahall has had some new signs erected, included a tall illuminated sign. Cllr. Scott will be contacting the planning board as its uncertain if planning permission is needed for such a sign.

Also mentioned was the footpath behind the Manor, which over time has become overgrown and waterlogged. Cotswold Wardens will be contacted in order to begin the process to rectify this.
