MINUTES OF A FULL MEETING OF YATTON KEYNELL PARISH

1. PUBLIC GALLERY

The verge by Farrells Field was bought up, following several attempts to get a response from the relevant party at Wiltshire Council, the parish council have decided to ask JCBS to cut the grass as it has become so tall it is now obstructing the line to vision when people leave their properties.

5. REGISTER OF ACTIONS

It was decided to contact Will Wolf in order to have a quote sent out to have all the trees along the pathway behind the surgery removed apart from the 2 specimen trees. Following the repairs to the burial ground gate, the council are still waiting for a bill to be sent out.

No new update on the fishing lake planning application.

No update on the footpath behind the manor.

6. FINANCE

4 cheques were signed:

7. DISTRIBUTION OF SOLAR FARM COMMUNITY FUND

The public meeting was held on July 3rd in the barn at the pub. Information is still available on the website and in the shop, the council will now wait for applications to be submitted.

8. TRAFFIC CONCERNS AT THE BIDDESTONE CROSSROADS

This topic was discussed at length during the public gallery. It was decided that the new layout may need revising, and as a result highways would be contacted and asked to have a fresh look at the layout. Because of the speed traffic travels along the A420 it is thought that visibility might be the main issue when using the crossroads.

9. PLANNING

15/05156/LBC – Remove existing fireplace, open existing inglenook & install wood burning appliance –SN14 7BG

There were no objections raised to the application, and would therefore be approved.

10. COUNCILLORS QUESTIONS AND ITEMS FOR FUTURE MEETINGS

It was mentioned by several people throughout the village how nice the planters look, and how tidy the footpath behind the village hall has been lately. Our thanks goes to Jim Bruce Scott for his work.

The metro count that has been placed by John Aubrey Close should have been placed closer to Phillips Garage, Martin Rose at Wiltshire Council will be contacted to ask him to have it moved.

Also raised was the topic of having a Metro Count placed in Tiddleywink, the speed of traffic has been bought to the attention of Wiltshire Council as a community issue by residents in Tiddleywink.

Environmental health are currently monitoring the noise levels coming from Castle Combe circuit following concerns that the noise had increased.
