5. REGISTER OF ACTION
CATG – Kents Bottom Signage – Spelling was agreed having consulted with long standing past & present residents as “Kents Bottom.” The Parish Council’s preference would be to have the wording “Beware of Pedestrians” as opposed to “Please Drive Carefully” and not to have triangular warning sign, but would defer to Highways Department regulations.
6.PLANNING
19/01490/FUL – Land to East of Farrells Fields
There has been no further communication from Persimmon following the public meeting. Clerk & Chairman will draft the Parish Council’s comments and circulate to Councillors prior to submitting to Wiltshire Council.
19/02175/FUL & 19/02329/LBC – replacement of extension – The Bell Inn
Support – Subject to Listed Buildings approval. The Parish Council note the uneven floor levels inside the public house and would wish to see this corrected to improve disable access.
19/02543/FUL – Hangar & Runway Extension – Hullavington Airfield
Councillors note the application, but have no comment.
7.CLERK & FINANCE
Payments Authorised:
I J Plowman – £184.62 – Clerk Salary February HMRC – £6.20 – Payroll deductions
J Bruce Scott – £602 – Village Maintenance
Clerk had recently met with a representative from Gigaclear, who will be installing Ultrafast Fibre Broadband in the village. Once the build schedule is finalised a representative from the company will brief the Parish Council.
8.COUNCILLORS QUESTIONS AND ITEMS FOR FUTURE MEETINGS
Litter Bin – Grittleton Road
As this bin is overused – Clerk to investigate other design of bins.
Clerks Contract – Agreed to increase the Clerk’s contracted hours to 18 hours per month and to increase the rate of pay to £12.89 per hour as per latest published National pay scales effective 1st April 2019 and from 16th August 2019 move the Clerk’s pay to scale point 27.
