End of the Track

The development of the Market Cross at the heart of Yatton Keynell has provided the village not only with a visual focal point but a place to meet for small events.

Since its opening however, it has not been used very extensively and the Parish Council is keen to promote it as a facility for everybody be they residents or simply passing through to enjoy and use.

So with that in mind, Chris Dash organised an informal event on 11 September with music provided Phil Hall and his vocal harmony group ‘End of the Track’ and a BBQ kindly laid on by Mark Hayward.

Despite the variable weather a good crowd gathered to enjoy an afternoon of music a sociable drink and burger.

The market Cross belongs to the village and we would very much like to see it being used by everybody. Perhaps a children’s party in the summer; a small craft fair. If you want to book it please get in touch.

If anybody is planning a wedding in St Margaret’s why not use the Market Cross for photographs. There’s no need to get permission, it belongs to you and you are very welcome to use it.
