With just under a month to go plans are progressing well for the Castle Combe Family Cycling Day and Severn Bridge Sportive.

To celebrate the Olympics taking place in Rio this year the youngster’s skills activities will have an Olympic theme. There will be an opportunity to take part in these sessions and win prizes!!

Once again Help for Heroes are the charity partner for the event and will be attending with their merchandise stand and “Hero Bear”.

The Family Cycling Day commences at 11:30am. Whilst the riders taking part in the Sportive are out on the road, the Family Cycling Day will take place on the circuit itself. Cyclists young and old can just turn up and register on the day and ride the smooth traffic free 2 mile circuit.

The Circuit Challenge will be taking place again where you can see how many laps you can do cumulatively in the day. Prizes available!!

A family ticket to a Motor racing day at the circuit is up for grabs for the family completing the most laps.

In June, a total of 460 riders totaled over 7,600 miles in a three hour period as part of an event organised by Chippenham Wheelers for National Bike Week.

The café will be open all day for hot and cold food and drinks along with ice cream and Coffee concessions

Throughout the day there will be various cycling related activities for all to take part in.
