Letter received from resident in Grove Lane requesting that the trees between pond and the property known as Halfpenny Pool be reduced in height. It was unanimously felt that the trees are within the boundary of the property and are therefore the responsibility of the owner. Clerk to respond on behalf of the Parish Council. 2. PUBLIC GALLERY Parking in Grittleton Road between Grove Lane & Coopers Meadow, due to two building projects being carried out in the area, it was noted that there has been issues both for pedestrians and road traffic. Footpath that runs behind properties in The Maltings and joins Grittleton Road, surface is breaking up due to tree roots. Clerk will raise issue with Wiltshire Council. Resident from Farrells Field updated the Parish Council on discussions that they had had with a planning officer from Wiltshire Council, with regards to the minimum distance between an existing & a proposed property, policy is that this should be a minimum of 21 metres. 2. PUBLIC GALLERY Resident from Tiddleywink raised the issues of drainage grips being cut in the verge and its use as a walkway between Tiddleywink and the Village. It was pointed out that this was not a Parish council issue but a Highways maintenance issue. It was also explained that the issue has previously been raised Wiltshire Council and that as well as land ownership issues the verge was not wide enough to be made into a pavement. 2. From 01 January 2019, not all bus passes will be renewed automatically. This is because there are approximately 20,000 passes in circulation that have not been scanned on a bus prior to renewal, indicating that the pass has not been used. In these cases, the passes will not be automatically renewed. If your pass is not automatically renewed but you would still like to receive one to use in the future, please contact Wiltshire Council on 0300 456 0100 and we can arrange for your new pass to be issued.
